We're Here!

The team is now safely in Guatemala! Christel, Allen and Ashley arrived around 10:55am and the rest of the team arrived around 1:45pm. We were greeted by Fontaine, Paula, their family, and the girls at Mimi's House. The trip, though wasn't as smooth as we anticipated.

The large group left the church at 3:00am this morning and, once they arrived at the airport, they were told that the crates they bought for the supplies couldn't go on the plane. After a lot of discussion, they frantically packed the supplies in with their personal luggage and got most everything on the plane. If they weren't awake before then, they definitely were awake after that excitement and drama! What a way to start the day!

Once we all arrived, everyone unpacked the supplies and we have spent the afternoon preparing for the week ahead. We are excited about the ministry opportunities that God will present to us!

For dinner (or supper, whatever term you choose to use), we enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by the girls of Mimi's house--chicken tacos. At least that's what they called them. They tasted more like chicken fajitas and they were delicious! We also had brownies and homemade whipped cream for dessert. Yum!

We are getting ready to have our first team meeting and then head to bed for the evening. Praise the Lord for safe travel for everyone!
